Edenbridge is only 30 miles south of London yet retains many of its historic buildings and has a relaxed, small country town ambience. Great pubs and restaurants can be found in the town and surrounding villages.


Many stately homes and castles are located nearby. Within 4 miles you can visit Hever Castle, Penshurst Place and Chartwell, where Sir Winston Churchill lived for forty years.  Twenty five minutes drive from Edenbridge you will discover many more beautiful gardens and National Trust properties such as Standen and Scotney Castle.


For walkers, you have a choice of an extensive footpath network throughout this rural area.  This stunning countryside is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with rolling hills and green fields.  For a change of landscape just visit Ashdown Forest’s dramatic views over the High Weald.  This is where A.A. Milne wrote the stories about Winnie the Pooh.


Cyclists can explore the country lanes especially the area surrounding Hever Castle where the triathlon and iron man competitions take place in the summer months.


For travelling to or from London by train, a very easy journey which takes approximately 50 minutes, but please remember that Edenbridge has two stations,  north/south and the east/west railway lines, which now give easy access to and from London as well as Gatwick airport.

Visit London for the day and take in all the famous sites.  Stay for the evening at the theatre and just catch to train home.
